In Singapore(as my current data shows
to lazy to check other countries)
However
Everyone says its
a Yngwie Malmsteen song
Is it really?

Okay first and foremost
I won't kill it yet
but to start
When I learned that little lick
6 years back
from my Kakaknye Laki
(means brother in law in a kinda offensive way)
I was told it was called Malmsteen
Few months later
A friend of mine said it was called
Unholy Vengeance
Then now
I search youtube
and all the Modern Mat Jiwangs
(modern as in they use youtube too)
say its called
Unholy Virginity

Now
Time to Bust this myth
Firstly
I will go into
the MUSICAL
side of things
Me
being a blaten Malmsteen Rip
(yes,if you heard me play
you can hear my pedaltones and my
harmonic minor shreds and my
1-m3-5 and diminished appergio runs)
I have somewhat studied
and learned
Malmsteen's style of play
The fact that
a total noob
like me 4 years back
could play it
Already shows that it might not be a Malmsteen song
Why?
Because
The song is said to be an instrumental
HAVE YOU HEARD A MALMSTEEN INSTRUMENTAL??
BLACK STAR? FAR AWAY FROM THE SUN? TRILOGY SUITE OPUS 5??
Yngwie does not relax on his shreds
His songs no matter what
cannot be fully played by just a average guitarist
On a rhythm aspect
Some riffs are very straight forward
But his fills and solos
are well
Astounding and fast
let alone his instrumentals
where he mostly
blazes through most of the song
as much as he possibly can
So can you explain to me
Why he would slow down for this song?

So yea
No Malmsteen song can be 100% easy
And recently
Today actually
I heard an MP3 version
of the song
WITH SYNTHETIC DRUM AND BASS
and my friend was all
this is the original track
and I was like
dude
I know Malmsteen's style
THAT AIN'T IT

Alright
I have satisfactorily busted this myth
However
I would also like to give a theory
of how this whole Song started
The fact that older people knew it as
Malmsteen
shows that it was not a Malmsteen song
but a song NAMED after him
Probably a tribute by one of the many people
whom he had inspired
The Unholy Vengeance part
may have came out
due to the fact that
Vengeance is an actual Malmsteen song
(though its not an instrumental and does not have the lick in it)
And
it was named with the Unholy
During the time
Avenged Sevenfold's Waking The Fallen came out(RIP THE REV)
more importantly
The Popular Single
UNHOLY Confessions

Come one
Everyone who could play guitar
and wanted to be cool
wanted to play an A7x song
Back in the day of course
now all they want is to play that noisy
deathcore crabcore electrocore brutal shit
Now back to my theory
so after it was named U.Vengeance
It was probably changed to Virginity because
Well
A bunch of Mats
Play that song
Other than Gang Title
Guitar
Booze and Ciggs
The only other thing on their minds all the time
are chicks
and pussies
Thus
The Virginity part

So yeah
that is my theory
You can rebut it all you want
but for all I care
