Harlot Nights

Yet another installment
To
The Artisans
Series
Harlot Heights Presents

The Cellist

The once was a man
who played a large Cello
His notes were so deep
Warm,Full and Mellow

He played in a band
But was never heard
If he played a note too low
Someone would drop a turd

And at his home
he practices all day
With all the sad pieces
That came into his mind's way

But though he was skilled
In playing what he played
He relinquished in sorrow
as the happy melodies seem to fade

For all he wanted to do
For almost the whole of his life
Was to play a happy melody
For his now dead wife

For sadness churned
By the mellow instrument
Bought lovers and lives
into a fatal temperament
As his happiness
Slowly fades
Away
Away
